This 8.6 Blackout Load features our patent pending CNC Swiss Turned solid copper projectile and factory new brass case. This 342gr Lead Free CNC Lathe Turned Solid Copper projectile is designed, precisely manufactured and finely tuned for maximum expansion at subsonic speed. Long gone are the days of tracking game for hours after what you thought was the perfectly placed shot. The Silverback 342gr Subsonic 8.6 BLK opens up fast in soft tissue and creates incredible wound cavity that make game lay down upon impact.
Our Punisher Series ammunition line creates devastating temporary and permanent wound cavities which are created by the aforementioned solid copper projectiles. The unique design of the projectiles expands quickly and with insane precision. As you probably guessed the Punisher Series line of ammunition is manufactured with the same incredibly precise loading and inspection process that results in consistency and accuracy unparalleled in the industry.
Our ballisticians have tuned this 8.6 BLK load to preform well in today’s most popular firearms. The Gorilla Ammunition manufacturing process ensures consistency by pairing high end linear loading equipment with multi stage in-process inspections by highly trained machine operators with a final inspection of each and every round by our quality inspectors to ensure only ammunition that meets our rigorous specifications makes it into the box.
These rounds are designed for 8″, 12″ and 16″ 8.6BLK barrels with a 1:3 twist. Shooters can expect to shoot at least sub 2″ groups at 100 yards with these loads.
***All gas gun customers should be aware that repeated cycling of an unfired cartridge can cause the projectile’s crimp to fail and the bullet to become loose. This is more prevalent with large monolithic projectiles because the copper’s surface is less yeilding. Due to the AR10 platform’s lack of uniformity or military specifications we are unable to predict whether your firearm is more or less likely to cause this characteristic. Our standard recommendation to prevent this occurrence is to polish your firearm’s feed ramp and check the headspace of your weapon***

Excellent ammo! Great accuracy &power out of 16″ BCA G2 rifle- shooting sub inch groups @100yds with this round & same POI with the 210 g Barnes tsx, 190g Punisher rounds- very impressive ballistics! Only sighted in with these . 2 in 1 hole and a flyer that was likely me . Velocity is not as advertised. 806 to 893 out of 16 inch. Otherwise excellent

Just stupid quiet from my Q Fix with SiCo Hybrid. I own and have shot dozens of suppressor/gun combos and have to say this sounds the “best”. my Garmin Chrono clocked them at 1035 fps from the 16″ barrel at 84°, so they should stay subsonic even when the temps drop. Can’t wait to hear them with my Short Chop when it gets here.
Accuracy leaves something to be desired BUT my best group was 1.78 MOA at 115yds so it still falls within Gorilla’s accuracy claims. Other groups even from a supported bench opened up over 2 MOA regularly but for my hunting needs most shots will be sub 50 yds so it’s not a huge deal. A little better dispersion and I would’ve given these 5 stars.

Discreet Ballistics did me really dirty so I looked for another provider and I couldn’t be happier with the customer service and the ammunition the 342 grain subs are extremely efficient on taking deer and bear. I’ve never shot a round that had that consistent amount of expansion from retrieving rounds from the ground after they’ve penetrated and exited an animal they look like the pictures that Gorilla advertises. Best round for Neutralizing large Hogs. I shot a 300 lbs bore from, about 60 yard and he just laid down did not even make any noise. The exit wound was awesome. This is my go to for large bores!
